Q: What areas do you travel to?
A: Direct Physical Therapy Boise serves the City of Boise and its immediate suburbs.
Q: Why go mobile?
A: In today’s society, we are busier than ever. When an injury strikes, it’s never at a convenient time. Many people fail to get the proper care they need because they just don’t have the time. Direct PT Boise allows you to easily fit the treatments you need into your busy schedule at the location of your choice!.
Q: HOW QUICKLY CAN I BE SEEN?
Appointments are often available same week. Please call 208-908-8540 and we’ll get you booked as soon as possible.
Q: I’M NOT IN PAIN PER SE - I’M JUST EXPERIENCING LOTS OF STIFFNESS AND TIGHTNESS AND WORRIED THAT SOMETHING IS ABOUT TO GO “POP”. AM I RIGHT TO BE CONSIDERING PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Absolutely! The body is an incredible system that gives off warning lights like stiffness and tightness before a big mechanical failure. Think of stiffness and tightness as the warning light in your car going off that you need an oil change. You can ignore these warnings for a while but the consequences are not fun.
Q: HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TREATMENT?
Q: WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I DON’T CHOOSE TO GO AND SEE A PHYSICAL THERAPIST?
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION LAST?
Q: DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE?
Yes. We are an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. This means you pay up front and then are reimbursed from your insurance company based on your out-of-network benefits. We will also call your insurance company and find out what your exact cost will be. We give you a simple form with all the information you need to submit, all you have to do is put it in the mail.
Q: DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY GP?
In the state of Idaho you do NOT need a Rx to see a physical therapist.
Q: WHEN DO I PAY?
Only when you are satisfied and usually at the end of your appointment.
Q: WHAT IS THE NUMBER ONE REASON I SHOULD COME SEE YOU? WHAT IS THE THE BEST THING ABOUT SEEING A PHYSICAL THERAPIST?
A: Getting the diagnosis. Finding out what is wrong is vital, once you know that everything else is relatively easy. And you’ll have a plan to go forward whether it be physical therapy or going to another professional.
Q: IS PHYSICAL THERAPY GUARANTEED TO HELP ME?
No. And no decent physical therapist will ever claim such a thing is possible. It simply isn’t. And if we can’t help you we will help you find the provider or person who can.
Q: WILL I GET RELIEF AT MY FIRST VISIT?
Yes, if physical therapy is the appropriate treatment for your condition then it is our intention to start making progress on your pain and or stiffness right away. It is also important that we ease your concerns and frustrations by giving a clear diagnosis and plan for remedying your ailments.
Q: WHAT IS THE LONG TERM BENEFIT OF GOING TO PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Freedom to do in your life what you want, when you want to do it, unrestricted by pain and stiffness.
Q: DOES PHYSICAL THERAPY HELP SOMEONE LIKE ME?
Q: IS THERE ANYONE THAT PHYSICAL THERAPY ISN’T RIGHT FOR?
Yes. Anyone looking for a miracle or hoping to be fixed in one visit. Rarely is this possible, particularly for injuries or pain that has been happening for a long time.
Q: CAN I TALK TO A THERAPIST BEFORE I BOOK MY APPOINTMENT?
Of course! Please call 208-908-8540 or email Rita@directptboise.com
Q: IS PHYSICAL THERAPY PAINFUL?
Not really. Some hands on techniques can be uncomfortable but it is important that any treatment is never so intense that you cannot take a deep breath. And you are always in charge of your care, if something feels painful or that it might cause damage all you have to do is speak up! We can ease up on the pressure, or change to a different technique. It is important that you always feel comfortable during your visit.
Q: WHY DID MY GP TELL ME NOT TO TRY PHYSICAL THERAPY AND JUST REST?
Hard to say, a lot of doctors do not know all the different techniques physical therapy has to offer. Some still assume physical therapy is just exercises done on a table. That could not be further from the truth at Move Better Physical Therapy.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST VISIT?
You should expect to have a clear understanding of what is going on. Getting the diagnosis right is the most important part of your first visit. When you know what the problem is then a plan can be made, one that may or may not include physical therapy.
